Unity Christ Church
in Gaithersburg MD is a spiritual organization associated with the Unity movement
world wide.
It aims to assist its members in applying positive spiritual
values in their daily lives.
The church has a web site designed to provide its members and the general
public with details
of a number of the key services it provides. It needed a volunteer
to assist in reorganizing the content to better serve its members.
Area of particular concern included:
- Service times and directions to the church
- Contact information for members in roles of responsibility within the church
- Access to newsletters, sermons, and other church informational pamphlets
- Details of upcoming events organized thru the church
- Information or regular ministry meeting
FitzSoft Consulting reorganized the site and individual pages to the requirements of the church trustees.
- In particular:
- Standardized their contact information so that email addresses would not have to change each time a new person assumed that responsibility.
- Provided a means for people to submit applications for classroom or hall
rentals with setup requirements in a
consistent format. - Designed a method for church members to volunteer for aspects of the church's care ministry.
